Welcome to the Crossroads to the West Regional Rodeo in beautiful Ogden, Utah. This year’s rodeo is once again at the Weber County Fairgrounds, Golden Spike arena, located at 1000 N 1200 W, Ogden, Utah 94404. Contestant Registration

Registration is Friday, June 20, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Golden Spike Arena by the Secretary room.  If you have an emergency and will be late you must call the Rodeo Secretary, Dwayne Rennels at (702) 232-3644.  All entry fees must be paid by cash or card, please no checks.

Rodeo Buddy Passes

Buddy passes are $25 each and will be available at contestant registration on Friday, June 20, 2025, ONLY.  No buddy passes will be available after the close of registration. Buddy must be present at registration with contestant to purchase passes.  No replacement buddy passes will be issured if original is lost, stolen or destroyed.  Contestants travelling with children aged 14 and under, junior buddy passes are available for free.  There is a maximum of 1 adult and 2 junior buddy passes per contestant.

Added Money

Currently there is no added money pledged.  This is subject to change and if there is added money, notice of the amount and the breakdowns will be posted at contestant registration.

Rodeo School

Rodeo School will not be offered at this time

Bronc Riding

Bareback Bronc Riding and Ranch Saddle Bronc Riding will be offered.  If you plan on competing in one of these events, please contact our Rodeo Director, Jared Schroeder, at  (801) 556-2900 or at [email protected]

Contestant Badges

Contestant badge must be worn at all times for all events

Event Running Order

Men go first on Saturday; Women go first on Sunday.  We will start the rodeo each day at 11:00 AM  with Grand Entry.  The other events will run in the following order:

Community Goat Dressing will follow Goat Dressing and buckles will be awarded both days

Camp Events

Camp events will have a one  (1) minute time limit

Post Rodeo Review

A post rodeo review meeting will happen in the Grandstands 30 minutes after the last event is posted

Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 PM on Sunday June 22nd, 2025, at The Outlaw Saloon located at 1254 W 2100 S. Ogden, UT 84401. We are also happy to welcome back The Saliva Sisters after the ceremony.  Also, bring your dancing boots as the UGRA helps the IGRA bring country dancing back to our regional rodeo.  The Outlaw Saloon is 1/4 mile from the Host Hotel, so it is within walking Distance. Visit www.outlawsaloon.com for more information about the venue. There will be poste rodeo entertainment following the rodeo on Sunday.

Barn Information

Our barn manager is Steve Housley, and his phone number is (520) 253-0366. Each contestant will be given one stall free of charge, and any additional stalls will be $25 per stall.  Stalls will be open beginning on Friday, June 20th but if you are planning to come on Thursday with horses and need a stall there is an additional $25 fee.  Contact Steve if that is what you need.  Shavings are available for the stalls for $14 per bag.  Tack stalls are also available.  

***PLEASE REMEMBER***
Horses are not allowed in the RV Parking Lot, there is a specific parking lot for horses.  Also, please do not feed your horses anywere but in their stalls. All horses must be off the rodeo grounds by 10:00 AM, Monday, June 23, 2025.

Veterinarians

Our veterinarians will be on site and on call.  They are  Northside Animal Clinic, (801) 732-8387 and South Valley Equine, (801) 621-4464

Farriers

Our Farriers are on site and on call.  They are Houseley Performance Horses with Steve Housley, Barefoot Specialist at (520) 253-0366 & Brodee Merrill for shoes at (435) 760-7293

Other Pets

Please keep pets leashed and near your camp.  Pets are not permitted in any other location of the venue. All legal service animals are allowed.  Please be respectful and clean up after your pets.

Host Hotel

Our host hotel will be the Comfort Suites located at 2250 S. 1200 W., Ogden, UT 84401.  Room Rates will be $124 per night for a 1 king bed room and $134 per night for a 2 queen bed room.  Call (801) 621-2545 to make your reservation and be sure you let them know it’s for the Utah Gay Rodeo.  Room block rate ends on June 1, 2025. RV Spots with Hookups

There are 52 first come first serve RV spots with full hookups.  RV sites are $30 per night for contestants and $50 per night for non-contestants.  To reserve a spot CLICK HERE or fill out the form included in the downloadable letter above.

Smoking Policy

The Golden Spike Arena is a non-smoking venue.  Smoking is permitted outside and if you do smoke outside, please put your cigarette butts in cans.

Non-Participants

Please note that the main gate opens at 10:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. No one without a badge is
permitted on the rodeo grounds prior to this time. If you’re traveling with friends who do not have a buddy pass or badge, please understand that they will not be permitted to enter the grounds until the gates open to the public. Gate opening times are subject to change as the gate opening requires the approval from the Fire Marshall.

Alcohol & Drugs

IGRA Rodeo Rule IV.4 will be strictly enforced by UGRA, along with all other rules. Any participant in an IGRA rodeo as a rodeo contestant, stock contractor and personnel, arena/chute volunteer, rodeo official, or security personnel, may be asked by any acting rodeo official to leave the rodeo arena and secured working areas if under the influence or in possession of an open container of alcohol or any illegal drugs of any kind. Disciplinary action may be taken against any participant in an IGRA rodeo for the possession of an open container of alcohol or any illegal drug in the secured areas of the rodeo including the arena, chutes, barn, or contestant areas at any time from the start of the first rodeo event until the rodeo conclusion each day. Disciplinary action may include disqualification, and/or loss of certification. Disciplinary action may include disqualification, and/or loss of certification. This includes any buddies you have signed in under your contestant number.

Crossroads of the West Regional Rodeo is an IGRA sanctioned rodeo.  All 2025 IGRA rules and regulations apply.
